Harriet Kernan (VC '24) was a member of the Vassar College Debate Council. On April 25, 1924, she participated in Vassar's victory over the Princeton University debate team. Born in 1902, she died on November 25, 1984, in Old Greenwich, CT.
This collection consists of letters, clippings, and 1 photograph relating to Harriet Kernan's participation in the Vassar College Debate Council's 1924 competition with the Princeton debate team. The letters include one from Eleanor Roosevelt and one from Herbert Claiborne Pell, Jr., both congratulating Kernan for her contribution to Vassar's victory.
