Biographical Note
Abbie S. Blanchard and her sisters, Alice and Clara, were the daughters of Christopher C. Blanchard and his wife, Sally. The family lived in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, in the second half of the nineteenth century. Mr. Blanchard conducted a boot and shoe business, W.and C. Blanchard, in Massachusetts and New Orleans. Abbie and Clara attended Dean Academy in Franklin, Massachusetts.
