Bible. Latin. Vulgate. 1487
Nuremberg: Anton Koberger, 1487.

This book tells us something about the physical characteristics of incunabula. In this Bible we see wooden boards, which were probably once covered in full tanned leather. We also notice four large, evenly spaced raised bands along the spine of the book, with an additional pair at the head and tail. Beneath the bands we can see the page gatherings.
